Mutualism between an alpheid shrimp & a goby

The alpheid shrimp and a goby live together in a mutual partnership, whereby both partners benefit greatly from each others company, but can survive alone if they have to do so. The shrimp digs and maintains the burrow while the goby supplies protection for the shrimp and, in some cases, even collects food for the shrimp.
