Visitor safety during COVID-19

We have protocols in place to help keep our visitors and staff safe. As per Queensland Health advice, stay home and get tested if you are feeling sick.

We encourage social distancing and are cleaning high touch areas and displays frequently with hospital-grade disinfectants. Hand sanitiser stations are located around our buildings.

Mask wearing is dependent on current Queensland Health advice and is currently not mandatory, but we recommend carrying a mask with you at all times and if you cannot socially distance, please wear one.

We continue to work closely with the Queensland Government to ensure the most appropriate response to COVID-19, and to follow all health advice from the Australian Government. For more information please visit the Queensland Health website or call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) at any time.

Zero Tolerance Policy on Violence and Aggression

All Queensland Museum Network employees have the right to a safe workplace free of abusive, aggressive or violent behaviour. We have a zero tolerance policy on aggression and violence against our employees and volunteers. We expect that you will be respectful and courteous when communicating with our staff while they try to assist you. Visitors who are abusive or aggressive or those who cannot comply will be asked to leave our venues.
