Face Mask Requirements 

As per Queensland Government guidelines, face masks are required indoors from Sunday 2 January 2022.

To make your museum entry easy, remember to: 

  • Pre-book your special exhibition tickets to Brickman Wonders of the World and SparkLab, Sciencentre at South Bank to guarantee your entry
  • Wear your mask indoors
  • Use the Check-In app and anyone 16 years + will be required to show your full vaccination status (or valid medical exemption)
  • Use the hand sanitiser stations located around the museum
  • Stay home if you are unwell
  • Watch our website and social media channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates
  • Check www.covid19.qld.gov.au for Queensland Health alerts.

Ticketing Refunds

If you would like a refund please contact QTIX by emailing refunds@qtix.com.au and QTIX will confirm if you are entitled to a refund by reviewing their entry records. We ask you to please be patient as QTIX process your refund over the coming days. If you purchased ticket(s) using credit card or Paypal via QTIX, you will receive a refund of the full purchase price. If you purchased ticket(s) using cash, or EFTPOS, QTIX will contact you to organise a refund. 

Vaccinations Requirements 

All visitors (aged 16 years+) must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a valid medical exemption, in line with Queensland Government health measures to attend our sites, venues and events. Proof of vaccination will be required on entry. Children are exempt.


Children

Children (under 16 years) do not need to be vaccinated to visit us however supervising adults will need to be fully vaccinated.


Visitors and contractors

All QMN staff (and prospective employees), honories, students, volunteers, external visitors and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated to be on-site at our sites, venues and events or have a valid medical exemption. Proof of vaccination will be required on entry.

This is an important step in reducing COVID-19 transmission and providing protection for our community.

Visitors will be required to use the Check-in Qld app and show your vaccination status. If you have a certified medical exemption for the vaccination this can be also added in the app, or you can bring a printed copy along as evidence to allow entry.
 

We encourage visitors to carry a mask during your visit, particularly if the museum is busy and you feel you can’t socially distance. Please monitor the covid19.qld.gov.au website for updates.

When you visit a Queensland Museum Network venue or event, you will need to:

  • Check in using the Check In Qld app and have your vaccination certificated linked in the app.
  • If you have a certified medical exemption for the vaccination this can be also added in the app, or you can bring a printed copy along as evidence for entry. 
  • If you don’t have a phone you can also use a printed copy of your COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate, your immunisation history statement, or your international COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

  • Don’t forgot to update the app before you add your certificate.

Please be kind to our staff who are here to help you enjoy your visit. Visitors who are not respectful and courteous will be asked to leave our venues.

Zero Tolerance Policy on Violence and Aggression

All Queensland Museum Network employees have the right to a safe workplace free of abusive, aggressive or violent behaviour. We have a zero tolerance policy on aggression and violence against our employees and volunteers. We expect that you will be respectful and courteous when communicating with our staff while they try to assist you. Visitors who are abusive or aggressive or those who cannot comply will be asked to leave our venues.
